Role: NEPA (National Environmental Policy) Planner/ SEPA (State Environmental Policy) Planner Location: Raleigh, NC (On-Site) Job Type: Fulltime Responsibilities: We are seeking qualified candidates capable of effectively managing and coordinating assignments within a multi-disciplinary team. The role involves the preparation of SEPA/NEPA compliance documents, including EA’s and EIS’s, particularly for intricate transportation projects, such as port and coastal developments. The individual will also contribute to proposal preparation and other project management tasks. This position offers significant potential for professional growth. The majority of our projects are located in North Carolina , thus familiarity with NCDOT and other regional agencies is advantageous. Key Requirements: - Minimum of 10 years of experience in NEPA/SEPA Planning. - Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, Environmental Planning, or Urban Planning. - Professional registration such as PE or AICP is preferred. - Demonstrated experience in managing transportation planning studies. - Proficiency in time management. - Familiarity with MicroStation/Open Roads software. - Strong project management skills, including client and permitting agency coordination. - Supervisory experience, overseeing the work assignments of other professional staff, establishing priorities, and resolving related issues. - Hands-on experience in NEPA/SEPA document preparation. - Knowledge of State DOT and Federal policies.
